                   Lantern Frame Abbreviations:
RR Mark”:   A Lantern frames’ FACTORY embossed marking.
Mfg”:            Maker of lantern frame (note makers list at right).
Date”:          2 digit number= last MARKED patent year, OR: 3 digit with a “/” (slash) between 1st & second = bottom marked  quarter & year for ADLAKE KERO frames, OR any date (year) in “(parentheses)” is UNMARKED estimated frame era.
Fr.Dsc”: Description of lantern frame construction.
     ***abbreviation key for this section:
     “(in quotes)” = model name, if marked on frame.
     '1-PC'  =  The number of pieces that comprise the brim,
           chimney, and dometop of a lantern lid.
     ‘SG’ = single horizontal globe guard.
     ‘DG’ = double horizontal globe guards.
     ‘RV’ = round vertical globe guards.
     ‘FV’ = flat vertical globe guards.
     ‘TO’ = twist off style fount / bell removal.
    ‘INS’ (or) ‘Lg.INS’ = insert type fount (or ‘large’ for A&W frames).
     ‘CO’ = clip out (“Sangster”) style of fount.
     ‘LF’ = early type ‘LEAF’ style (soldered on button) lid latch.

                      Globe Abbreviations:
RR Mark”: A Lantern globes’ railroad marking.
Type”:      CAST; ETCH; or CUT type of lettering. (‘n/a’ = none)
Color”:     C = Clear; R = Red; G = Green (ranging from dark
     'forest' green,  very  bluish aqua, or teal); A = amber (ranging
     from root beer brown  to vivid yellow); B = blue (this is almost
     without exception COBALT blue!). 
Style”:     “(in quotes)” = maker/model name, if marked on glass.
     'EB' = Extended base.
     ‘CNX’ = ‘Corning’ glass (typically the cast ‘Horseshoe’ logo).
     (CNX) = Corning style, but none, or different maker.
